VA and Military Home Buyers in the Greater Tulsa Area
Guidance through VA financing and a move timed around your orders.
What Buying With a VA Loan Involves
VA home buyers in the Greater Tulsa Area often have two things to manage at once: a home purchase and a move on someone else's schedule. Orders, a job start date, or a family's timeline can set the pace.
A VA loan is a home loan backed by the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs for eligible veterans, service members and some surviving spouses. Many VA loans require no down payment. Your lender confirms your eligibility and explains the details, including the VA appraisal, which your purchase will go through.

How I Help VA and Military Buyers
I'm Christina Shortsleeve, a REALTOR® with RE/MAX Results. For VA and military buyers, I focus on two things: making the process clear, and fitting it to your timeline.
Early on, I'll connect you with a lender who works with VA loans, so you know your eligibility and budget before we look at homes. Then we plan the search around your dates. If you're moving from out of the area, I help you get to know the towns, commutes and school districts first, so you can decide with confidence even from a distance.
From offer to closing, I explain each step as we reach it, including how the VA appraisal fits into the timeline.
What You Get
- An introduction to a lender who works with VA loans.
- A search planned around your orders or move date.
- Help getting to know the area if you're relocating.
- Each step explained, including the VA appraisal.
- Offer, negotiation and closing support through to your keys.
The full process is on my page about how I help you buy a home. If you're new to the area, my relocation page may help too.
Choosing Where to Live on a Timeline
When your timeline is set by orders or a job start, it helps to narrow your choices early. I help VA and military buyers compare towns across the Greater Tulsa Area on the things that matter most: the home, the drive, and the school district.
Broken Arrow offers established homes near the Rose District, downtown Broken Arrow, and newer subdivisions to the south and east. Coweta offers more homes with land and a small-town feel along Highway 51. Tulsa offers established homes near Cherry Street and Brookside and newer construction to the south and east.
For every home you're serious about, we check the commute at the time you'd make it and verify the school district, since an address doesn't always tell you. That way, even if you can't tour every home in person, you're choosing with real information.
Once we find the right home, I keep the purchase moving on your schedule and stay in touch with your lender and the title company, so you always know where things stand.
